The event will take place from Friday, Dec. 9 to Saturday, Dec. 17.
The Perkins Pottery Associates Holiday Show and Sale will take place from Friday, Dec. 9 through Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Perkins Center for the Arts located at 395 Kinds Highway.
The opening reception on Friday, Dec. 9 will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Then, gallery hours will be Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
Perkins Pottery Associates is a group of 13 area ceramic artists who collectively rent studio space in the Perkins pottery studio. Each associate has a distinctive style, and the group produces a wide range of functional, decorative and sculptural works in clay.
The work includes raku, wood-fired and electric oxidation pieces. Their Holiday Show is a revival of a long-standing Perkins tradition that was always highly anticipated in the community — it is a great way to see what local artists are producing, and all work at the show is for sale.
