MFS hosts Coding Program Sneak Peek Week

The Moorestown Friends School adopted a coding program in its preschool and Lower School through grade five in 2015. In the year since its inception, the program has seen much success, and to showcase this outcome, the school will be hosting a Coding Program Sneak Peek Week from Monday, Dec. 5 through Friday, Dec. 9.

Registration for MYBF Spring Baseball Season

Registration for the Moorestown Youth Baseball Federation 2017 Spring Baseball Season is from December 1 through January 15. Registration is open to kids in pre-K through 9th grade.

Moorestown Jewish Association hosts Hanukkah Concert and Celebration

To help the community celebrate Hanukah, the Moorestown Jewish Association will host its fifth annual concert and celebration at the Moorestown Community House located at 16 E. Main St. on Thursday, Dec. 15 beginning at 7 p.m.

Moorestown Breakfast Club hosts Val Traore

The Moorestown Rotary Breakfast Club recently hosted Val Traore, the CEO of the Food Bank of South Jersey. She discussed the Food Bank programs that serve families, seniors and children in South Jersey. She also touched upon their new mobile pantry and the Summer Food Service Program.

MFS students to celebrate Annual Thanksgiving Happening

On Wednesday, Nov. 23 from 9:30 a.m. to noon, Moorestown Friends School (MFS) students from prekindergarten through grade 12 joined faculty and staff for a special all-school tradition in celebration of Thanksgiving. More than 40 mixed-age groups of students, faculty, and staff worked together to create gifts such as wreaths, tissue paper flowers, paper bag turkeys and more.

MHS participants in first unified soccer season

This past year Moorestown High School Principal Andrew Seibel and Director of Special Education David Tate applied for a grant to allow the school to form it’s first unified soccer program. After their inagural season, the team earned the title of state runner-ups at the first NJSIAA unified soccer showcase game in history.

MFS Appoints Three New Trustees

Three new trustees were recently appointed to the Moorestown Friends School (MFS) Committee. The trustees are Kennette Banks ’02, Janice Johnston ’88 and Julia Onorato ’04.
