Marlton residents looking for something to do other than Black Friday shopping after the Thanksgiving Holiday are in luck.

The show is inspired by the comedic plays of the ancient Roman playwright Plautus and tells the tale of a slave as he tried to help his young master get “the girl next door” all in an attempt to win his freedom.

With many classic comedic tropes, the show is set to entertain Marlton residents throughout the night.

Cherokee High School Drama’s fall show “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” is set to debut on Nov. 25 at 7 p.m., with an additional show on Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. and shows the following week on Dec. 2 and Dec. 3 at 7 p.m.

Tickets available at the door and at CherokeeDrama.org. Tickets are $8 for students and $12 for general admission. Golden Age Passes will be honored at the Nov. 26 performance only.

Cherokee High School fall drama director Joe Fisicaro Jr. describes the show as “a light-hearted, non-stop comedy that keeps you going all the way through out.”
