A Bone Marrow Registration Drive for Atco resident Chris Donoflio, will take place Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Solid Rock Baptist Church. In July, Donoflio was diagnosed with myelofibrosis, a serious bone marrow disorder that disrupts the body’s normal production of blood cells, and was told that he needed a bone marrow transplant. No match has been found on the bone marrow registry.
Register as a potential bone marrow donor simply by swabbing the inside of your cheeks. Eligible donors must be between the ages of 18 and 55 and in good, general health. Register online at www.dkms.org or make a gift if you cannot attend. Solid Rock Baptist Church is located at 420 S. White Horse Pike, Berlin.
