Cherry Hill East girls tennis wins second straight South Jersey Group IV title

The Cherry Hill East girls tennis team had little trouble winning its second consecutive sectional title, as the Cougars cruised past Egg Harbor Twp., 5–0, on Tuesday to win the South Jersey Group IV championship. The victory was the 18th in a row for the Cougars. Cherry Hill East fell short of winning a state championship on Thursday when they lost a tight state semifinals match against Bergen Tech, 3–2.

Cherry Hill artist displays creativity through wearable art

Cherry Hill artist Penny Solomon is different than other artists. Solomon loves to paint and draw like many others in her field, but what sets her apart is her unique wearable art. Cherry Hill man a passenger in small plane crash in Lindenwold

A Cherry Hill man was one of two people aboard a plane that crashed into a backyard in Lindenwold on Wednesday. Lindenwold Police identified the man as 72-year-old David Misek of Cherry Hill. A day after the crash, police said Misek was in stable condition at a local hospital. Misek provided a statement to police saying the plans was experiencing mechanical issues prior to the crash.

Major closure announced for Springdale Road beginning Oct. 24

Motorists hoping to travel along Springdale Road northbound on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. will have some issues beginning next week. Cherry Hill Police and county officials announced Springdale Road northbound will be closed during those hours for approximately three weeks. In addition, Cunningham Lane and Chateau Drive will be closed to traffic during those same hours.
