Haddonfield 5k Road Race raises money for YMCA Nov. 12

The 35th running of the Haddonfield 5k Road Race will be on Saturday morning, Nov. 12 and is sponsored by the Haddonfield Y’s Men’s Club. The race, over a challenging and certified course, runs through the streets of the Borough. The race will start at 9 a.m. and finish at Crows Woods Field House.

Entry fee of this year’s race remains at $20, if received before Nov. 1 and $25 after that date. Long sleeve running shirts will be given to all runners and race packets may be picked up on Nov. 12 at the Crows Woods Field House beginning at 7:30 p.m. Awards will be presented following the race at the Field House to the top three male and female finishers overall and in each of the following age groups: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 45, 50 to 59 and 60 and over.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the youth and camping activities in the community and at area YMCAs. The Y’s Men’s Club is the International Service Club of the YMCA and the local club was founded in 1949.

Andy Levering is the chairman of the Race Committee. Race applications are available at area YMCAs, Her Sports, The Running Company, the Borough Hall in Haddonfield and Road Runners in Cherry Hill.
