The Southern Burlington County NAACP Branch will host its sixth annual “Freedom Fundraiser Gala” on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 7 to 11 p.m. at The Westin Mt. Laurel, 555 Fellowship Road.

The keynote speaker of the event will be Assemblywoman Shavonda E. Sumter.

Eric Dobson, Humanitarian Award winners Live Civilly and Mayor Nathaniel Anderson of Willingboro Township, Legacy Award winners Jack & Jill of America Inc. Willingboro-Burlington Chapter and Rising Leaders Global, Professional Achievement Award winner Dolores M. Szymanski, Public Service Award winner Chief Christopher Chew of the Evesham Township Police Department and Congresswoman Bonnie Watson-Coleman, W.E.B. DuBois Award winner Melanie Barney of the Philadelphia Inquirer and Roosevelt Nesmith Civil Rights Award winner Assemblywoman Shavonda E. Sumter.
