Freeholder Deputy Director Kate Gibbs announced today that resurfacing of a .8 mile portion of Stokes Road (County Route 541) in Medford Township is expected to begin on Monday, October 24.

“This project involves pavement milling and overlay of .8 miles of Stokes Road from Jackson Road to Medford Lakes Borough Line,” said Deputy Director Gibbs. “Construction is expected to take about a week to complete with work to be performed during nighttime hours.”

Traffic will be maintained during milling and paving operation. Motorists using the roadway may experience delays and are recommended to find alternative routes during the work.

The work is being done by American Asphalt Co., Inc., West Collingswood, New Jersey, as part of the County’s State Funded Overlay Program which will see a total 23.1 miles of roadway in 18 municipalities resurfaced through shared State & County funding.
