The public is asked to drop off prescription drugs so the officers can dispose them in a safe and nonhazardous manner.
National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday, Oct. 22 and the Gloucester Township Police is one of the collection sites from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police watch desk, located at 1261 Chews Landing Road. The officers will dispose of the prescription drugs in a safe and nonhazardous manner. The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
