New Burger King approved in Cinnaminson

The plan to build a new Burger King on Route 130 in Cinnaminson was approved at the Planning Board meeting on Oct. 11, with a few conditions.

Board Attorney Doug Heinold says that Cinnaminson residents raised four issues about the new fast food chain being built.

The first condition was a fence and a buffer on the back property line of the restaurant. The residents wanted the fence moved to the back property line and for it to be eight feet tall, which was approved.

A second concern brought up by residents was that the restaurant parking lot leads to a side street, and residents did not want excessive traffic on this street. To solve this issue, it was determined that the street will be signed “local traffic only”.

Another concern was Burger King’s hours of operations. The original plan was for the restaurant to be open 24/7, with only the drive-thru being open from midnight to 5 a.m. The modified plan is that this Burger King location will close completely from midnight to 5 a.m.

The final issue had to do with sidewalks. The board imposed a condition that if either of the neighboring properties on Route 130 are required to put in sidewalks in the future, that the Burger King will be required to also install sidewalks within six months of that.
