Berlin Borough residents may experience a slight discoloration in their water during certain hours of the day.
The Borough of Berlin’s Water Department has begun the fall flushing of fire hydrants and will continue until Oct. 31. The flushing hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
When hydrants are being flushed, it is possible that you may experience a slight discoloration in your water. This condition is normal and is not harmful to you. If you experience discoloration of your water, please allow the cold water to clear prior to use. Additionally, Berlin Borough asks that you refrain from using your washing machine during this time.
The town apologizes for any inconvenience you may experience and thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation. For more information, call the Borough of Berlin at (856) 767–7777 or log onto their website at www.berlinnj.org, scroll down and click on Hydrant Flushing.
