Plans are well in hand for another night of fun, fireworks and first-class entertainment in Hadddonfield on New Year’s Eve for First Night.
The First Night committee has put together an exciting program that includes both new acts and perennial favorites — more than 30 performances in all. This year’s headliners include Michele Lauziere, Master of the Unusual; Shawn Gerhard, Ultimate Tribute to Garth Brooks; The Trammps of Disco Inferno fame; Iona, Celtic Music and Dance; Diamond Reno, Tribute to Neil Diamond; and Paul the Beatle, One-Man FAB. As usual, there will be spectacular fireworks at 9 p.m. For full details, visit FirstNightHaddonfield.org.
As in the past, those who attend will have come-and-go access to the over 15 venues along the Kings Highway “spine,” simply by wearing an admission button on their coats, scarves or hats.
Be sure to buy buttons early … and save! First Night will hold a Flash Sale of buttons on Saturday, Oct. 15 during the Fall Festival. The regular price is $15, but on Oct. 15 buttons can be purchased for just $10. Immediately after, the price will return to $15. Buttons and detailed information about the program will be available at the Information Center in Kings Court, and also at First Night’s Fall Festival table at the Town Clock, which will be staffed by volunteers between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Speaking of volunteers … you can get your First Night buttons for free if you sign up to help out for a few hours on New Year’s Eve. Email Chris Thomas for details at firstname.lastname@example.org, click the “Volunteer” link at FirstNightHaddonfield.org, or leave a message at (856) 429–4700 x 300.
