Charity Golf Tournament Benefits Women and Girls with Crisis Pregnancies

St. Mary of the Lakes Knights of Columbus Council 6520 is hosting its inaugural Fall Classic charity golf tournament on Mon., Oct. 17 at Medford Lakes Country Club located at 70 Oak Drive in Medford Lakes. All proceeds will benefit the First Way of Burlington County.

“First Way of Burlington County helps any woman or girl with an unplanned pregnancy to find medical, legal, or psychological help as well as shelter, education, or adoption guidance,” said Council 6520 Grand Knight George Finan III. “The Knights of Columbus welcome men and women golfers and local businesses to support this vital organization that treats every woman with respect, dignity and kindness.”

Golf registration is $150 and includes greens fee, golf cart, lunch and a buffet dinner. Dinner-only tickets are available for $35. The tournament is a scramble format and begins with a shotgun start at noon. Prizes will be awarded for top teams, closest to the pin and longest drive.

A cocktail hour follows the tournament and dinner begins at 6:00 p.m. A silent auction, raffle and tombola offer opportunities to win great prizes.

Tax-deductible sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and individuals. Options range from individual hole sponsorships of $100 to tournament sponsorships of $2,500.

First Way believes in the sanctity of life, all life, the life of the mother as well as the life of the baby. The staff of First Way is made up entirely of volunteers from the Burlington County communities they serve.
