Microsurfacing is tentatively scheduled to take place on a variety of roads across Cherry Hill this week.

Microsurfacing work is tentatively scheduled to take place on the following streets. All dates are approximate and work is weather-dependent.

· Tuesday, Aug. 30 — Chandler Road and Caldwell Road

· Wednesday, Aug. 31 — Deerfield Drive, Aqua Lane, East Gate Drive and Daytona Avenue

· Thursday, Sept. 1 — Chelten Parkway, Douglas Drive, Cornwall Road, DaCosta Road and Brookline Drive

· Friday, Sept. 2 — Berkshire Court, Beidemann Road, Birch Street, Beechwood Avenue and Devon Road

During the microsurfacing process, road crews apply a thin, tough layer of asphalt emulsion that seals cracks and prevents moisture from penetrating the base of the roadway. Microsurfacing helps extend the life of local streets not yet in need of full reconstruction.
