The Mt. Laurel AARP Chapter 4003 will begin the 2016–2017 season with a meeting on Thursday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m. in the Mt. Laurel Community Center, 100 Mt. Laurel Road and Walt Whitman Ave.
Membership renewals and new members can register between 12:30 and 1 p.m.
Brian McGuire, Associate State Director of AARP New Jersey, will update the chapter on recent programs and senior concerns in the state.
Reservations will also be accepted for the American Music Theatre bus trip on Nov. 15 to see “Winter Wonderland’.
During the trip, a delicious buffet luncheon will be held at Miller’s Restaurant with a brief shopping hour at Kitchen Kettle Village.
During that shopping stop attendees may remain on the bus if they do not wish to shop.
A $55 deposit accepted prior to the meeting and a final $55 payment will be due on Oct. 6.

Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected for the Women’s Opportunity Center.
Refreshments of coffee and cake will be served following the meeting.
