Cherry Hill Cub Scout pack unveiling new program for kindergarten students

Cub Scout Pack 252 will offer the Lion program for boys age 5 and starting kindergarten in the fall.

Boys entering kindergarten in the fall in Cherry Hill will now have the chance to join Cub Scouts.

Cub Scout Pack 252 in Cherry Hill will offer the Lion program for boys age 5 and starting kindergarten in the fall. The Lion program is one of the newest scouting programs in the country. The Garden State Council, Boy Scouts of America is one of the select councils in the country chosen to offer this program,

The Lions program is designed to introduce scouting values and concepts to 5-year-old boys through fun and age appropriate activities and adventures. Participants will build new friendships, explore the world around them, use their imagination and have fun. The program begins in September and runs for the length of the school year. The program ends in June, with the boys graduating to Tigers.

Scout Pack 252 is one of the longest running packs in the area and offers programs for boys in kindergarten through fifth grade. For more information about the Lion program or becoming a Cub Scout, contact Mike Morris at cubmaster252@gmail.com. Den and pack meetings begin again on Sept. 12. Pack No. 252 meets every Monday schools are open at Clara Barton Elementary School.
