Gas main replacement to begin in Cherry Hill the week of July 18

The replacement project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2016.

PSE&G is preparing to replace old gas pipes in Cherry Hill Township with new pipes beginning the week of July 18.

The work, which will take place Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., will place the old gas pipes with new, durable pipes and coated steel piping.

“These upgrades are part of PSE&G’s three-year program to replace up to 510 miles of aging gas infrastructure throughout New Jersey,” said Joe Forline, vice president of gas operations for PSE&G. “We are working closely with municipal officials and the department of public works to coordinate construction schedules and are committed to keeping customers in Cherry Hill informed about where and when the work will take place.”

PSE&G plans to release a list of streets where work will be taking place prior to the start of the projects. The list will be posted at www.pseg.com/gaswork.

Residents will also be notified if PSE&G is working in their area by phone, mail, door hangers and Facebook posts. The entire project is expected to be complete by the end of 2016.
