Camden County Freeholders to host ‘March for Love’ for Orlando shooting victims on June 29

Camden

The Freeholder Board will host a “March for Love” on June 29 at 7 p.m. in Cooper River Park in memory of the lives lost in the Pulse nightclub shooting.

“Join us as we march to honor the victims of the Orlando shooting, and celebrate the diversity of Camden County,” Freeholder Jeff Nash said. “This attack was not just against the LGBT community, but an act of hate against our overall community.”

Residents are invited to march in solidarity with Orlando and to honor victims by spreading a message of love and equality in the community today and for future generations.

Participants are invited to wear clothing in shades of rainbow colors to reflect the diversity of our community, and to make signs, banners and personalized t-shirts to honor the victims.

March for Love t-shirts will be available for purchase with proceeds benefitting the One Orlando fund created by the city of Orlando to help the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting and their families.

A rally will take place at 7 p.m. at Cooper River Park’s Jack Curtis Stadium, located at 5300 North Park Drive in Pennsauken. A march along North Park Drive will follow.
