Voorhees Police make arrest in residential burglary on Maple Avenue

The following report is on file with the Voorhees Township Police Department:

On June 13 at approximately 1:24 p.m., the Voorhees Police Department was dispatched to the 1200 block of Maple Avenue for a burglary in progress.

Responding patrol officers were advised that an alert neighbor called to report an unknown female was trying to gain entry into a house through a window.

Voorhees Police arrived and located the female a short distance from the residence.

She was identified as a female, age 30, from the 600 block of 9th Avenue in Lindenwold.

After an on-scene investigation, the female was charged with third degree burglary and remanded to the Camden County Correctional facility in lieu of $500 bail.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Police remind residents to be vigilant and report all suspicious activity and act as the eyes and ears of the police department.
