Evesham Police K-9 sniffs out heroin during traffic stop

The following reports are on file with the Evesham Police Department:

On June 2 at 3:30 p.m., an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Locust Avenue.

During the investigation Evesham Police K-9 EZ was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics.

K-9 EZ was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle at which time he alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car.

A subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of Heroin and hypodermic needles.

Arrested:

A male, age 21, of Marlton, was charged with third degree possession of heroin and a disorderly persons offense for possession of a hypodermic needle. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of bail from unrelated warrants.

A male, age 29, of Mt. Laurel, was charged with third degree possession of heroin and a disorderly persons offense for possession of a hypodermic needle. He was released on his own recognizance.

A female, age 40, of Marlton, was charged with third degree possession of heroin and a disorderly persons offense for Possession of a hypodermic needle. She was released on her own recognizance.
