“My students have a knack for asking insightful questions that reveal their curious nature. Driven by self-motivation, they rigorously apply The Scientific Method in the pursuit of ever increasing knowledge,” said teacher Ben Chen, who coached the students through the science fair process.

Chen encouraged his students to pick topics that personally interested them, consider multiple approaches, and analyze the data they collected from hands-on experimenting for deeper answers.

“It is an incredible honor for the students to qualify and compete at the Coriell Institute Science Fair and Delaware Valley Science Fairs! All of our participants have accomplished something huge and the HFS community is so proud of each and every one of them,” said Chen.

Brittan’s project was called “Cookie Madness!” Cadence’s project was called “Ceci N’est Pas Une Expérience” (This Is Not An Experiment).” John’s project was “Bacteria: Fair Weather Fan?” Ryan’s project is “Battery Vs Solar Power.”

Haddonfield Friends School is offering two science-related summer workshops for middle school students grade 5 through 8. Lego Robotics Camp is June 27 to July 1 and Engineering Camp is July 18 to 22, and enrollment is open now. For more information, visit. www.HaddonfieldFriends.org.
