Virtua has been awarded The Advisory Board Company’s 2016 ‘Workplace of the Year’ award. The annual award recognizes hospitals and health systems nationwide that have outstanding levels of employee engagement.

Virtua is one of only 20 organizations out of 120 surveyed hospitals and health systems nationwide to receive the award.

Engaged employees, as defined by The Advisory Board Company, are those who exhibit both loyalty and commitment to the organization. These employees are willing to expend discretionary effort, often going above and beyond to help the organization succeed.

“We are honored to achieve this distinction from the prestigious Advisory Board Company,” said Virtua president and CEO Richard P. Miller. “Employees are the key to building a great patient experience. Engaged employees are productive employees who contribute directly to Virtua’s mission to help patients be well, get well and stay well.”
