Interfaith Council collects personal care items for homeless shelters

The Interfaith Homeless Outreach Council is collecting shoeboxes filled with personal care items for distribution to homeless shelters. Toiletry items such as these are always needed and greatly appreciated.

First, fill a shoebox with personal care items such as: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, baby shampoo, deodorant, underware, shaving cream, hand lotion, razor, soap/wash cloth, comb/brush and socks. Sample and travel sizez are welcome.

Once you’ve filled your shoebox, put a rubber band around it and label it: man, woman, boy, girl, or baby.

Second, drop off the adopt-a-boxes at: Oaklyn Baptist Church, 29 E. Bettlewood Ave in Oaklyn; St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Chapel Ave. and Kings Highway in Cherry Hill; First Presbyterian Church Blackwood, 21 East Church St. in Blackwood; and Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield, 20 Kings Highway East in Haddonfield.

Drop off dates are Wednesday, March 30 and Thursday, March 31 for all locations and times are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A final drop off date is April 3 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dambly House, 12 Warwick Road in Lawnside.
