Marijuana possession and driving while intoxicated arrests top this week’s Mt. Laurel Police report

The following reports are on file with the Mt. Laurel Police:

On March 4 at 2:43 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Larchmont Boulevard near Sedgfield Drive. During the stop officers arrested a female, age 24, of Magnolia. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

On March 3 at 7:29 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Springdale Road near Church Road. During the stop officers arrested a male, age 18, of Audubon. He was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court hearing.

On March 3 at 8:06 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to Target on Centerton Road for a theft. The victim reported that she accidentally left her wallet at the customer service counter and it was gone when she returned a short time later. The investigation revealed that another customer found the wallet, removed $140 in cash and then turned the wallet in to the store. A female, age 28, of Willingboro was arrested and charged with theft. She was turned over to another law enforcement agency for an outstanding warrant.

On March 3 at 4:19 p.m. Mt. laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Eastgate Drive near Fellowship Road. During the stop officers arrested a male, age 24, of Camden. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

On March 2 at 4:21 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Church Road. During the stop officers arrested a male, age 51, of Collingswood, after provided a false name to officers in an attempt to avoid arrest for an outstanding warrant. He was charged with hindering his own apprehension and turned over to the Camden County Sheriff for the outstanding warrant.

On March 1 at 10:33 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near I295. During the stop officers arrested a male, age 36, of Woodlynne after he provided a false name to officers in an attempt to avoid arrest for several criminal warrants out of jurisdictions in Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties. He was charged with hindering his own apprehension with bail set at $7,500 and he was committed to the Burlington County Jail.

On March 1 at 1:50 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to Bradley Court for the report of a man opening car doors. On arrival officers observed a suspect trying to open a car door. The suspect fled when he saw the police vehicle. The investigation revealed that the suspect entered several unlocked vehicles but nothing was taken.

On Feb. 29 at 10:22 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 near Lenola Road. During the stop officers arrested a male, age 22, of Burlington, after he provided a false name to officers in an attempt to avoid arrest for an outstanding warrant. He was charged with hindering his own apprehension and released after satisfying the warrant.

On Feb. 28 at 9:45 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police located a male in Trotter’s Crossing Park after closing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a male, age 21, of Mt. Laurel. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trespassing. He was released pending a court hearing.

On Feb. 28 at 11:47 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Birchfield Drive near Church Street. During the stop officers arrested two males age 19 of Mt. Laurel. They were charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of less than five grams of hashish, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released pending a court hearing.

On Feb. 28 at 3:03 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to a single vehicle crash into the median on Route 73 near the New Jersey Turnpike. During the investigation officers arrested a female, age 24, of Marlton. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

On Feb. 27 at 9:45 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to a hotel on Route 73 for a dispute over narcotics. During the investigation officers arrested a male, age 24, of Mt. Laurel. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The male also had warrants for his arrest out of other jurisdictions. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail.

On Feb. 27 a 2:16 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to a hotel on Crawford Place for the report of suspicious activity. During the investigation they learned that a 22-year-old male victim made arrangements to meet another man at a room in the hotel through a dating app. The victim met with the suspect in a room but decided to leave when he became uncomfortable. The suspect became violent and refused to let the victim leave until he gave him money. The victim gave the suspect some money and was let out of the room. This crime remains under investigation.

On Feb 27 at 3:20 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted an investigation into a suspicious vehicle at a hotel on Fellowship Road. During the investigation officers arrested a male, age 26, of Mt. Laurel. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court hearing.

On Feb. 27 at 1:07 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to a hotel on Fellowship Road for a disturbance in the parking lot. During the investigation officers arrested a male, age 30, of Willingboro. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

A guest of at a hotel on Fellowship Road reported that on Feb. 13 he left his luggage in his room and was unable to return to the hotel. When he returned on Feb. 26 he discovered his Xbox One and designer sunglasses were missing from his luggage.

A resident on the 3000 block of Greenwood Court reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle during the early morning hours of Feb. 26. Loose change was stolen.

A resident of Hutchinson Road reported that jewelry was stolen from their residence on Feb. 25. The victim suspects an employee from a contractor may have taken the jewelry.

A resident on Sandhurst Drive reported that jewelry was stolen from his residence on Feb. 25. The victim believes the suspect works for a moving company that was at his residence.

An employee of Wine Legend, 720 South Church Street reported that a suspect stole three bottles of liquor valued at $226 on Feb. 24 at 8:30 p.m.

During the early morning hours of Feb. 22 Dunkin Donuts and Batteries Plus located at 1215 Route 73 were burglarized. Entry was gained by breaking the front glass door of each establishment. An undetermined amount of money was stolen from the Dunkin Donuts and nothing was taken from the Batteries Plus.
