Community invited to upcoming events at HOPE Church

At HOPE Church, the community is invited, free of charge, to a number of seasonal events.

On Palm Sunday, on March 20 at 9 and 10:30 a.m.,all are welcome to HOPE’s Palm Sunday worship services. Age-appropriate activities and worship experiences are available for children and the nursery will be open as well.

On Sunday, March 20, 4:30 p.m.HOPE’s Worship Arts Ministry will presents “Encounters with Christ.”From Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, Jesus goes from being ushered in like a king to being crucified like a criminal and then ultimately overcoming the grave. Join HOPE’s worship artists as the church takes a look at some of the people who were close to Jesus as they recount the events of that final week. Childcare is provided.

The Good Friday Experience at HOPE on March 25 from 11 a.m. — 7:30 p.m. This is a self-guided, journal-driven, multi-sensory, meditative experience. Participants will move through seven stations, each a reflection on the seven times Jesus spoke while he was dying on the cross. There will be opportunities to reflect on what Jesus said and did, through prayer, meditation and various creative expressions. Childcare is provided.

Easter Sunday Worship on March 27 at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. This year’s celebration begins with an Easter Sunrise Service, March 27, at Lions Lake Park, located off Route 73 in Voorhees. Service starts at 6:30 a.m., weather permitting. Be sure to bring a chair. HOPE’s Easter Sunday services will then be held at the church Visitors are expected. The Kidz Konnect worship experience, designed especially for children, will be held during the 9:30 and 11 a.m. Nursery care is available during all three worship services.

Kids of HOPE’s Spring Production, Sunday, April 17, 4:30 p.m. See a production of “Back to the Cross: a Kids Musical Adventure through Time. Abandoned long ago and nearly forgotten, the H/O-2000 is discovered by the kids in our story while attending the annual VBS program at Midway Community Church. A series of time-traveling escapades ensue, taking our intrepid gang of time-jumpers on a wild ride, immersing them in strange times and cultures (including the totally tubular 1980s, the roaring 20s, the Wild, Wild West and even the Garden of Gethsemane!), all leading to a point of discovery about the importance of the Cross and the message of the Gospel.
