Evesham Police K9 finds heroin and pharmaceutical pills during traffic stop

The following report is on file with the Evesham Police Department:

On Feb. 27 at 12:11 a.m., an Evesham Police officer conducted a motor vehicle stop in the Kings Grant Development.

During the investigation Evesham Police K-9 Brody was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics. K-9 Brody walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle at which time he alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of Heroin and Pharmaceutical Pills.

During this investigation a 21-age male resisted arrest and threatened to kill officers.

Arrested:

A male, age 21 of Marlton was charged with third degree terroristic threats towards of officers, third degree resisting arrest and a disorderly persons offense for possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

The male, who had $3,000.00 in outstanding Evesham warrants, was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $23,000 full bail.

A male age 20 of Marlton was charged with third degree possession of heroin and pharmaceutical pills. He was released on his own recognizance.
