Vehicle Fire

On Feb. 18 at 3:42 p.m., Medford Police and Fire responded to the intersection of Union Street and Jones Road for a report of a vehicle fire.

Prior to emergency personnel arriving on location, the vehicle had been shut off, which stopped the fire from spreading.

An inspection of the vehicle by the fire marshal revealed damage in the engine compartment from an unknown type mechanical failure.

Narcotics

On Feb. 20 at 8:26 p.m. Medford Police stopped a black Toyota for a speeding violation on Tomlinson Mill Road.

Upon making contact with the driver an odor of burnt marijuana was emanating from within the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle revealed a glass marijuana smoking pipe with burnt marijuana residue and a plastic container containing marijuana.

A 17-year-old male from Picadilly Circle in Marlton was arrested and later released to his guardian pending a juvenile court appearance.

Motor Vehicle Accident

On Feb. 23 at 2:26 p.m. Medford Police, Fire, and EMS responded to Mt. Holly Road and Brace Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a driver trapped in their vehicle.

Medford Fire was able to extricate the driver from her vehicle without complications.

The driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash and is being treated at West Jersey Marlton Hospital.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident. Charges are pending the out come of this investigation.
