Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice has announced new officers of the not-for-profit organization’s 18-member Board of Trustees. The new officers, elected to serve a one-year term, are: Chair John C. Gillespie, Esq., Vice-Chair Jewelle Sutherland, MD, Secretary Orsula Knowlton, PharmD, MBA, and Treasurer Lee Shields, CPA. Immediate past Chair Liz Thomas, of Thomas Boyd Communication, continues to serve on the Board.
The new officers take the helm during a historic year as the 36-year-old not-for-profit organization conducts its first capital campaign to raise funds for Southern New Jersey’s first freestanding hospice — named The Samaritan Center at Voorhees — expected to open in late 2016.

Officers’ Bios:
Secretary Orsula Knowlton, PharmD, MBA of Moorestown is president of CareKinesis, Inc., an organization partnering with accountable care organizations to provide and coordinate medicine management services for individuals with complex medical needs. She earned an Master’s of Business Administration from Temple University and a doctorate from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
