Sustainable Moorestown Arts Committee hosts community meeting Feb. 24

Statistics show that a thriving creative environment is key to maintaining a vibrant and sustainable community. With this in mind, Sustainable Moorestown created a subcommittee devoted to representing, supporting, and providing opportunities for the township’s arts population. After months of preparation, the Sustainable Moorestown Arts Committee (SMAC) is poised to host its first community meeting Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. in Moorestown’s Town Hall.

All artists over 18 in any medium, as well as educators and volunteers in the arts and arts venue managers, are invited to attend the meeting, where they will have a chance to network and share ideas, as well as learn about proposed upcoming events and hear the first results of SMAC’s online survey, which was developed to discern the needs and priorities of the arts community. The short survey is still actively gathering information, and those interested can take it here:

To learn more information about the SMAC and to RSVP for the public meeting, email Reservations are encouraged, but not required to help organizers plan accordingly.
