The following report is on file with the Evesham Police Department:
On Feb. 19 at approximately 9 p.m., Evesham Police Officers assigned to the Proactive Unit were conducting surveillance when they observed suspicious activity in the lot of the AMC 8, 800 North Route 73.
During the investigation Evesham Police K-9 Ciko was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics. K-9 Ciko was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle at which time he alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of psilocybin (mushrooms).
Arrested:
A male age 22 of Williamstown was charged with third degree possession of psilocybin and a disorderly persons offense for Possession of Marijuana. He was released on his own recognizance.
