The Historical Society of Haddonfield will host its January Book Club meeting on Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. The book chosen is “The Girls of Atomic City” by Denise Kiernan. The book follows the incredibly true story of the top-secret World War II town of Oak Ridge, Tenn. and the young women brought there unknowingly to help build the atomic bomb. The meeting will take place at Greenfield Hall, 343 Kings Highway East.
Join the HSH next month when it meets with the Haddonfield Library’s Book Club. The combined meeting is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. at Haddonfield Borough Hall. The selection is “Margaret Fuller: A New American Life,” by Megan Marshall.
