Moorestown Public Schools set 2016 dates for Kindergarten registration

Moorestown Township Public Schools have set the 2016 dates for Kindergarten Registration at the Moorestown High School. Parents do not need to bring their child with them to their scheduled appointment. Parents are requested to call Cathy Kain at the district’s Central Registrar’s office, starting Wednesday, Jan. 20 at (856) 778–6600, press 7, to receive a scheduled time during the day to complete the registration procedure. There are pre- registration packets available, which will be sent out when making the appointment. These packets contain information about the Kindergarten program and copies of the forms that you will be asked to complete before your scheduled appointment.

Kindergarten registration for all elementary schools will be held Thursday, Feb. 11th through Friday, March 18.

Children entering Kindergarten in September 2016 must be 5 years of age on or before Oct. 1, 2016.

Please bring the following documents to your scheduled appointment for your child to be successfully registered: original birth certificate; five proofs of residency in Moorestown; a physician-authorized record of immunization for polio, rubella, mumps, measles, chicken pox, DPT, and hepatitis B; a physical examination form completed by your health care provider; and a completed registration packet.

Please note that Kindergarten screening dates are: Monday, May 23 and Tuesday, May 24 at Mary E. Roberts Elementary School; Wednesday, May 18, Thursday, May 19 and Friday May 20 at George C. Baker School; and Wednesday, May 18 and Thursday, May 19 at South Valley School.

A ‘SignUp Genius’ link for Kindergarten screening, at all three schools, will be posted on the MTPS website April 4.
