“Home” is a group photography exhibition, curated by Norm Hinsey, to be presented at the Markeim Arts Center in Haddonfield in February.

The curator will select works from those submitted to be included in the show.

Photographers are encouraged to submit images by e-mail to the curator directly at norm@creongallery.com, any time prior to Jan. 26, two weeks before the show opens. Framed photographs entered for consideration can be dropped off at the Markeim after contacting the curator at norm@creongallery.com or (646) 265–5508.

“Home” will be a show of images that presents compelling photographs on any of the aspects or themes of “home.” Images submitted should be those that the photographer connects to an idea of “home” — this is inclusive of any definition or personal connection and could be home sweet home, home run, hometown, home stretch, homey, home free, home base, etc.

Entries must be original photography, black and white or color, and not previously exhibited at Markeim. Photographs accepted must be framed and ready to hang.

Framed work must not weigh more than 30 pounds.

It is free to submit up to five digital images and $15 fee per image accepted for the

Exhibition, or a $15 fee for each framed work submitted in person and no fee for accepted work. Note that digital submissions are preferred and please keep image files to no more than 1 mb each. There is no fee for submitted or accepted work for current or new Markeim members.

All work should be offered for sale. Markeim Arts Center will receive a 35-percept commission on sale of work.

All reasonable care will be taken with work submitted for this exhibition. Artists must agree with the terms of Markeim’s exhibition policy and will be asked to give the insured value of their work.

Selected work can be dropped off at the Markeim Friday, Feb. 5 from noon to 5 p.m. or Saturday Feb. 6 9 a.m. to noon. For photographers not able to submit digital entries, please contact the curator for details.

The exhibition opens Tuesday, Feb. 9. Gallery hours will be Tuesday to Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. The reception will be Friday, Feb. 12 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
