Downtown Haddonfield hosts first Winter Fest Jan. 23 and 24

Liven up your winter season with festive shopping, specials and seasonal fun during Downtown Haddonfield’s first-ever Winter Fest, taking place Saturday, Jan. 23 and Sunday, Jan. 24.

Heating up Haddonfield’s fine shops and boutiques will be exciting specials and in-store events taking place throughout the beautiful Downtown business district, located along Kings Highway and charming side streets — which include Mechanic Street, Ellis Street, Tanner Street, Haddy Lane, Kings Court, and Haddon Avenue. Shop for the hottest winter accessories and see what trends are in store for Spring 2016. Weather permitting; many stores will also be setting up sidewalk sales outside their shops.

Winter Fest will feature live entertainment from noon to 3 p.m., including DJ Frank Staff located at the gazebo in Kings Court and Haddy Lane, and an ice sculpting demonstration from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday in Kings Court. Other attractions that will complement the Winter Fest theme include in-store hospitality offerings including sugar cookie decorating and a scrumptious hot chocolate bar.

Explore the Downtown’s 200-plus shops and restaurants in style with heated trolley rides during Winter Fest on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m., or enjoy a festive horse-drawn carriage ride on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. Immerse yourself in the sweet aroma of chestnuts roasting on an open fire in front of Marie’s Sandwich Bar, located at 6 Kings Court.

Haddonfield’s streets and pathways will remain decorated with sparkling white lights — providing a winter wonderland feel and a festive atmosphere for shoppers — until Saturday, Feb. 13. Winter Fest hours are Saturday, Jan. 23 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 24 from noon to 4 p.m.
