Cherokee High School DECA students compete in regional competition

On Tuesday Jan. 6, Cherokee High School DECA students competed in their regional competition at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill.

Of these students, 18 qualified for the state competition in February.

Those students include Cameron Vinson, Aidan Daniels, Palak Jain, Trent Stroup, Blake Sokol, Mili Mehta, Dev Patel, Keval Patel, Anish Wagh, Shreya Mehta, Eamon McCarren, Antony Williams, Nick Fenu, Jim Moretti, Grant Sokol, Daniel Schwartz, Dylan Preston, and Namratha Konduru.

Additional honors go to Blake Sokol, Dev Patel, Keval Patel, Shreya Mehta, Nick Fenu, Jim Moretti, Brianna Hough, Michelle McDonnell, and Jacqueline McDonnell for each placing in their role plays and Cameron Vinson, Dev Patel, Nick Fenu, and Namratha Konduru for placing on their event’s written exam.

Special honors go to the following people for placing in the top three overall in their events.

Dev Patel placed 1st in accounting, Shreya Mehta placed 1st overall in human resources, Namratha Konduru placed 2nd overall in financial consulting, Grant Sokol and Daniel Schwartz placed 3rd overall in sports and entertainment team decision making, and Nick Fenu and Jim Moretti placed 3rd overall financial services team decision making.

Cherokee offers congrats to all who participated.
