Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation holding annual service event on Jan. 18

The Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation will be hosting its annual Teen Cancer Awareness Week/MLK Day of Community Service on Jan. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Boscov’s Court at the Voorhees Town Center.

Students, shoppers, survivors and families are welcome to come out for this fun and educational event.

The non-profit Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation provides support to teens across the nation hospitalized with cancer.

The foundation honors the legacy of Voorhees resident Alicia Rose DiNatale, who passed away in 2002 at age 17 after she lost her battle with cancer.

Those who attend the event can help that mission by assembling teen activity kits, sewing and stuffing bandana pillows, making bandana bands for hospitalized kids, helping ship boxes to local children’s hospitals, and by being a part of the Teen Kit Drive by droping off boys athletic socks, lip balm, or Tic-Tacs to be placed in every teen kit.

A DJ at the event will be provided by Rock It Entertainment.
