Remember Kindness during the holidays with kindness activities

Here are some ways for readers to expand Kindness at home over the holidays.

A Kindness Wheel to decorate — with games to play, invented by Karen Reiner, co-chair of our Kindness Group and mother of a Girl Scout. Kindness Wheels and Games were prepared by Karen and Nancy DiPasquale and distributed by Girl Scouts during the Holiday Parade on December 6th.

The spinners are available at JoAnn Fabrics and make it extra fun. Rice, macaroni, a coin or simply closing one’s eyes and pointing is another way to zero in on a quality for focus, without using a spinner.

Also attached is a crossword puzzle designed by one of our committee members, Gerald Mousley. Answers can all be found among the eighteen qualities of Kindness on the Kindness Wheel.

The next gathering of The Power of Kindness Book Discussion Group is Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. at the Moorestown Library. The focus is Honesty.

In February The Power of Kindness Group will meet on the second Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. to discuss the essay on Forgiveness. On March 1 the group return to their first Tuesday schedule — with a focus on Belonging. The sense of belonging that has us know we each matter. All are welcome.
