Local Jewelry Sale to Benefit Feed My Starving Children

Starry Eyed Jewelry Boutique is hosting a Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) benefit on Dec. 6 from noon to 5 p.m. A percentage of sales on that date will go to FMSC, a non-profit Christian organization dedicated to feeding hungry children worldwide.

If you haven’t been to Starry Eyed, you’re in for a surprise. Starry Eyed is a gem of a store tucked away at 310 Haddon Ave. directly across the street from PNC Bank.

In addition to an astonishing array of unique, hand designed fashion jewelry and gifts, you’ll receive personal assistance. Hostesses will be on hand to answer questions about Feed My Starving Children as well.

FMSC sponsors food-packing events around the country, during which volunteers hand pack nutritionally balanced food in two-hour shifts. The food is then shipped to areas around the world where children are threatened with starvation. Last year 225,000 meals were packed in a single weekend here in Haddonfield, and were subsequently sent to Haiti and South Africa.

This will be the fourth year the community in and around Haddonfield will be participating in a packing event, sponsored by the Haddonfield Council of Churches, and set for April 8 and 9, 2016. For further information about Feed My Starving Children, go to www.fmsc.org. For information on the local packing event in April, contact gerviola@mac.com.

Get some holiday shopping done while supporting Feed My Starving Children by coming to Starry Eyed on Dec. 6.
