Eastern

At the most recent meeting of the Eastern Camden County Regional School District Board of Education, the board approved the naming of the school’s Gym 3 to the John P. Sanders’ Gymnasium after long-time wrestling coach John P. Sanders.

The gymnasium will be dedicated and named after Coach Sanders in a ceremony on January or February 2016.

In other Eastern wrestling news, at that same Oct. 21 BOE meeting, the board approved Brian Boland head wrestling coach for the 2015–16 season.

Boland replaces Bobby Stinson who resigned in October.

Boland is currently employed at Eastern Regional High School as a math teacher.

According to Eastern’s athletic director Phil Smart, Brian was an outstanding wrestler at Camden Catholic High School and Ursinus College. Boland has served as an assistant coach for 10 years, the last three at Eastern.

Brian has proven himself as a teacher, communicator and winner. Eastern High School is extremely excited about the addition of Boland as the head wrestling coach.
