Dear Editors:
With the many complex and difficult decisions that lay ahead, we believe that as a community we will keep working towards greater student achievement, while maintaining our Borough’s desirable culture, beauty and stature. However, in order to do this, we need strong, effective leadership. That is why we support Adam Sangillo for the Haddonfield Board of Education.
Adam’s involvement in Haddonfield activities shows his commitment to our exceptional Borough and all it has to offer. He demonstrates service to others and civic duty by serving on the board of the Rotary Club, a service organization that supports our Borough, region and world. He demonstrates his dedication to our youth by coaching a Haddonfield Soccer Club U10 travel team, and, until recently, he served as treasurer of the Haddonfield Civic Association, a position he willingly resigned, as per that group’s by-laws, to run for the Board of Education.
By Haddonfield standards he is very much a “newbie,” but even prior to relocating here, Adam served this community by coordinating the Haddonfield Middle School’s Career Day. Adam, his wife and their four children have clearly made Haddonfield their home. Those who know the family know they are deeply involved in the town and school community.
It is clear we have a very intelligent, knowledgeable and engaged citizenry, and as we face the many conversations about the decisions ahead, it is important that consensus is built in the decision-making process and that disagreements are articulated thoughtfully and respectfully through intelligent discussion.
Adam stands for clarity of information, fiscal responsibility and long-term planning, and believes each is essential to finding the best path forward. His background in finance makes him a candidate well suited to spearhead discussion related to many of the current BOE dilemmas.
Being a lifelong Haddonfield resident, and a resident of the Borough for six years, gives us a unique combined perspective. This outlook has not only led us both to become part of Adam’s campaign, but also to state, without reservation, that Adam is the right person to help lead the District into the future.
Please don’t simply take our word for it, visit Adam’s website at www.sangillo4boe.com to familiarize yourself with Adam, and what we believe makes him the best candidate for the Haddonfield Board of Education. Thank you for taking the time to be informed voters, and supporting our Borough, School District and overall community.
