As a former Republican Congressman for the 3rd Congressional District, I experienced firsthand about the gridlock in Washington, D.C.
When I decided to not to seek re-election, I was quoted saying: “my frustrations with the ways of Washington have been well-documented, misplaced priorities and lack of focus on constituent needs have frustrated many of my colleagues on both sides of the aisle. Believe it or not, there are members of Congress who actually want to govern and get the peoples business done. Unfortunately, there are many with agendas and strategies that serve to advance their own interests and expand their donor base.”
I have known Jason Ravitz for many years. Jason and his family run the successful Ravitz Family Shop Rites and we have worked closely together in many charitable endeavors.
Jason has sought my counsel in deciding to seek election to the Voorhees Township Committee.
I have also met his running mate, Michelle Nocito.
Jason and Michelle are the type of leaders that I know will place the best interest of Voorhees residents, over partisan politics and waste full posturing.
They are doers, they want to govern and get stuff done and are not running to advance their own personal agenda.
I know it is rare for a Republican to endorse Democrat candidates, but electing good people who are in it for the right reasons is what it is about.
I do know that Jason and Michelle are the type of bi-partisan “can do / will do” individuals that Voorhees Town Committee would benefit greatly from.
I am asking all my Voorhees friends, regardless of political affiliation, to support Jason and Michelle who I know will do a great job on Township Committee and do everything they can to help improve the quality of life in Voorhees Township. Jason Ravitz and Michelle Nocito. Please exercise your right to vote on Election Day, Nov. 3.
Sincerely,
Jon Runyan
