Moorestown Police Reports for Sept. 25 to Oct. 6

The following reports are on file with the Moorestown Police Department:

On Oct. 5, police charged a 23-year-old man of Maple Shade with two counts of burglary and two counts of theft. The man entered a home with force on Revere Avenue on Sept. 24 and stole jewelry, cash and coin. Approximate value at this time is $500. On Sept. 1 he entered a home with force on Haines Drive and stole an Apple MacBook, which the value is unknown at this time. Scattergood’s bail is set at $5,000 full. He is currently incarcerated in the Camden County Jail where he was served with these charges.

On Oct. 5, a 41-year-old man of Cherry Hill was arrested for shoplifting. The man selected one pair of men’s black Haggar pants at Boscov’s Department Store in the Moorestown Mall, entered the fitting room then exited the fitting room wearing the new pants and carrying his old ones. The value of the pants was $50. He was released on a summons.

On Oct. 5, a victim reported the theft of a necklace valued at $2,500 taken from the building of a business on the 100 block of Marter Avenue.

On Oct. 6, a 41-year-old male of Willingboro was arrested for invasion of privacy. The man entered the women’s restroom at the Moorestown Mall Food Court. He was watching the victim through the crack in the stall door while she was using the facility. The victim witnessed this and subsequently the suspect was arrested and charged. He was released on a summons.

On Sept. 25, due to a domestic situation a 19-year-old man of Levittown, Pa. was arrested and charged with burglary, violation of a restraining order and possession of a weapon (knife). He was transported to the Burlington County Jail in default of $40,000 bail.

On Sept. 27, a 74-year-old woman of Moorestown was arrested and charged with shoplifting. She concealed towels valued at $82 from Macy’s Department Store in the Moorestown Mall. She was released on a summons.

On Sept. 30, due to a domestic situation a 47-year-old man of Moorestown was arrested and charged with violation of a restraining order and criminal mischief for causing damage inside a residence. The man was transported to the Burlington County Jail on $75,000 bail.

On Oct. 1, a victim reported the theft of their Apple IPhone valued at approximately $500, which was left in the restroom at the Moorestown Mall food court.

On Oct. 1, a victim reported the theft of their Apple IPhone 6 valued between $800 to $1,000, which was left in the Journey Store in the Moorestown Mall.
