Mt. Laurel’s Brightview assisted living community, located at 400 Fernbrooke Lane, will host its 8th Annual “Cruisin’ for a Cause” Classic Car Show & Cookout fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 18 from 11 a.m. — 3 p.m. All proceeds will support the South Jersey Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association for education and research. Rain date: Sunday, Oct. 25.
For a $5 per person donation, guests can enjoy a display of over 100 antique cars and street rods from the early 1900s thru 1970s, music from 92.5 WXTU Country Radio and a local DJ, and a tasty cookout featuring homemade chili, burgers, hot dogs and other traditional fare.
Various themed gift baskets will also be available for guests to win. The car show and cookout festivities are open to the public — all ages are welcome.
Senior residents of Brightview Mt. Laurel will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite cars at the show, and will present 1st, 2nd and 3rd place “Resident’s Choice” trophies to the winners.
Staff and volunteers will vote for the “Best of Show” winner.
Complimentary tours will be available throughout the event for families interested in learning more about the assisted living and memory care services available at Brightview Mount Laurel.

“Our car show is an enjoyable event because it brings back wonderful memories for the seniors,” states event coordinator Jeff Kleeman. “Our host each year is always an assisted living community or nursing home in South Jersey that serves those seniors with Alzheimer’s or other dementia-related illnesses.”
