Southern Burlington County NAACP Branch hosting 5th annual Freedom Fundraiser Gala Oct. 30
The Southern Burlington County NAACP Branch is hosting its 5th Annual Freedom Fundraiser Gala. The money raised from the event will allow the SBC NAACP to continue to educate and inform our communities about equality and their civil rights. The event’s keynote speaker will be the Honorable William H. “Billy” Murphy, Jr.
Judge Murphy is a Baltimore-based, nationally recognized civil rights and criminal defense attorney. Judge Murphy’s trial skills are so recognized that he was asked to portray himself on the HBO series “The Wire.”
Most recently as the attorney for the family of Freddie Gray, Judge Murphy has been at the forefront of the effort to confront the epidemic of excessive use of force by police.

The Gala will be held on Friday, Oct. 30 6:30–10:30 p.m. at the The Westin Mount Laurel, 555 Fellowship Road. Tickets- $70 and available through Oct. 22.
