This program, created in 2006, has provided life-changing experiences for hundreds of students, both in Kasukabe as well as Haddonfield. While there, you will live with a host family and share your daily meal with them at breakfast as well as dinner. Your activities during the day may include trips to Tokyo, a visit to Fuji san, Japan’s symbolic mountain, martial arts and the making of Japanese handicrafts.

Your 12-day stay will commence on July 22, 2016 and end on Aug. 3, 2016. The total cost will be airfare plus a nominal activity fee.

The HJE, is a non-profit all-volunteer group. Selected students will be expected to take part in classes prior to the trip, and the group will be expected to perform some sort of group song or dance, to be determined by the make-up of the group.

For applications go to the www.HJEx.org website and click on “Downloads” for the application. Send applications to mm105@aol.com.
