Mt. Laurel Police arrest four for prostitution in this week’s police report

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

On Aug. 15 at 8 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 23-year-old woman from Oakland, Calif. after she solicited an undercover officer for sex at a hotel on Century Parkway. She also had an outstanding criminal warrant. She was charged with engaging in prostitution and released pending a court hearing after posting bail for the arrest warrant.

On Aug. 15 at 9:35 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 30-year-old woman from Wenonah after she solicited an undercover officer for sex at a hotel on Fellowship Road. She also had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was charged with engaging in prostitution and released pending a court hearing after satisfying her warrant.

On Aug. 15 at 9:50 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 24-year-old woman from Browns Mills after she solicited an undercover officer for sex at a hotel on Fellowship Road. She was charged with engaging in prostitution and released pending a court hearing.

On Aug. 16 at 3:40 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police arrested 30-year-old woman from Philadelphia after she solicited an undercover officer for sex at a hotel on Fellowship Road. She was also found in possession of synthetic marijuana and oxycodone pills. She was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and engaging in prostitution. She was released pending a court hearing.

A resident of the 2100 block of Larchmont Place reported her vehicle was scratched with a sharp object between Aug. 8 and Aug. 9.

On Aug. 10 at 1 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to a hotel on Clover Road for a fraud report. The victim, who lives in Florida, was notified by their credit card company that their card was being used at the Mt. Laurel hotel. The investigating officers located a suspect at the hotel who provided a false name to the officers. He was eventually identified him as a 30-year-old man from Hamilton. He had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and charged with credit card fraud and hindering his own apprehension. Bail was set at $15,000 with no 10 percent option and he was committed to the Burlington County Jail.

A resident reported that he lost his wallet in the area of the shopping center on 127 Ark Road on Aug. 9. His credit card was later fraudulently used at a store in Moorestown.

On July 17, Mt. Laurel Police arrested a female subject for a traffic warrant during a motor vehicle stop. She posted bail for the warrant and was released. It was later determined that she had lied about her identity to avoid arrest for numerous criminal and traffic warrants under her true name. On Aug. 10, Mt. Laurel Police arrested the woman, a 24-year-old from Willingboro. She was charged with hindering her own apprehension, wrongful impersonation, falsely incriminating another, and tampering with public records. Bail was set at $15,000 with no 10 percent option in addition to $3,000 for the other warrants. She was committed to the Burlington County Jail.

On Aug. 11 at 3:35 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police located a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Larchmont Swim Club on Larchmont Boulevard. During the investigation, officers arrested a 22-year-old man from Hainesport. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

A resident of the 300 block of Tolerance Court reported two tires on their vehicle were slashed between Aug. 10 and Aug. 11.

During the overnight hours of Aug. 14 into Aug. 14, air conditioning units belonging to two businesses on the 100 block of Fairway Terrace were damaged. Parts were also stolen from one of the units.

An investigation into an iPhone that had been stolen from a store at the Deptford Mall led to a residence on 200 block of Kelly Cove. The resident initially denied having the phone but on Aug. 14, he surrendered the phone to the Mount Laurel Police. A 43-year-old man from Mt. Laurel was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property. He was turned over to Evesham Police for an outstanding warrant.

A victim reported that on Aug. 13 at 8:30 p.m., someone entered his unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the shopping center at 3115 Route 38. A bag containing books and a laptop was stolen.

On Aug. 14 at 11:40 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to a residence on Oswego Court for the report of an unresponsive male locked in a bathroom. The arriving officers forced entry into the bathroom and located the unresponsive 40-year-old victim. The officers suspected he had overdosed on heroin and administered Narcan. The victim was revived and transported to the hospital by Mount Laurel EMS.

A resident of the 6200 building on Preston Way reported his black and gray, 8-speed, Talamex folding bicycle was stolen from in front of his residence sometime between Aug. 12 and Aug. 14.

On Aug. 15 at 6:05 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Clover Road. During the stop officers arrested a 25-year-old woman from Collingswood for an outstanding warrant. She was then found to be in possession of multiple drug smoking pipes and hypodermic syringes. She was charged with possession drug paraphernalia and released after satisfying the arrest warrant.

On Aug. 17 at 1:05 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a pedestrian stop on Route 38 at Ark Road. During the stop officers discovered the subject, a 26-year-old man from Mt. Laurel. who was wanted by the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department. He attempted to run from the officers but was quickly apprehended after a short foot chase. He was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, possession of synthetic marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail.
