ChildrenSong of New Jersey hosts annual Summer Vocal Camp

ChildrenSong of New Jersey announces its annual Summer Vocal Camp for singers in grades three through 11. The camp runs daily from Aug. 17 to 21 at Haddonfield Middle School, 5 Lincoln Ave. Camp for grades three through six 10:30 a.m. to noon and grades seven through 11 is 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Young singers will learn the basics of vocal technique, tone production, and score reading. Older singers will be challenged by multi-part ensemble singing, vocal technique, a cappella singing and score study.

The weeklong training camp features a performances at a Phillies game, charity fun day, final works in progress concert and pool outing at a local swim club. Singers who attend the camp can apply camp fees toward regular season tuition. ChildrenSong of NJ’s program is taught by Haddonfield School District’s Vocal Music Director Polly Murray and recent Westminster graduate Margaret O’Neill.

The cost is $125 per child in grades three through six (non-audition) and $200 per child in grades seven through 11 (by audition).
