Benjamin Franklin photo-panel exhibit at Burlington County Library main branch through Sept. 4

The Burlington County Library will present “Benjamin Franklin: In Search of a Better World,” a photo-panel exhibit produced by The Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary, Philadelphia, and the American Library Association that will be on display at the Westampton facility through Sept. 4.

Presented in partnership with Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, the exhibit features six sections of colorful, freestanding photo-panels that will give audiences the opportunity to explore and discuss Benjamin Franklin’s life, his participation in the founding of this country, and his high standards for work, citizenship, and contribution to the community.

Panel topics include: Franklin in the Boston of his youth; Family and personal life; Franklin as Philadelphia’s premier printer; Commitment to public service; Interest in medicine, public health, science and philosophy; Political career in England, France and the United States; and Contributions to the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and other major documents.

“Benjamin Franklin: In Search of a Better World,” will be on display in the library’s Exhibit Room, where stories about history, science and culture are shared throughout the year.
