This September, Fox Hollow will be holding its first 5k race, the Fox Trot 5k. The race will be a run and walk taking place on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 8:30 a.m. The entire race will be held inside the neighborhood of Fox Hollow on a USATF certified course.
The starting line will be adjacent to 80 Partridge Lane. The course will travel through Partridge Lane, the Harrowgate Loop, Thackery Lane, parts of Pendleton and Pawtucket Drive, Cohasset Lane, Hadleigh Drive, Brondesbury Drive, Kingsdale Drive, and Rymill Run. The finish line will be at the crosswalk in front of the Fox Hollow Swim Club. There will be an award ceremony held inside the swim club immediately after the race.
Organizers are working hard to make this an event that will be a lot of fun for the whole family. The Cherry Hill Fire Department will be bringing a pumper truck and a ladder truck and organizers have secured a Moon bounce for kids to enjoy. There will be a disc jockey and live entertainment, food provided by local restaurants and caterers, prizes and giveaways for the race participants. Race shirts will be provided to all pre-registered participants and as supplies last on race day. All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to the Fox Hollow Swim Club with a portion given to the Cherry Hill Education Foundation.
As the race is likely to draw hundreds of participants and supporters, residents are asked to consider parking in driveways or garages to keep the streets clear for the race. For those participating in the event, please team up with a friend or neighbor to carpool to the starting line to avoid unnecessary parking congestion.
