Emily Perkins Capella of Cherry Hill received the Golden Disc Award for Distinguished Achievement from the Arcadia University Alumni Association in June.
Capella has made a lifelong career as an educator, serving as the director of programs and planning, assistant superintendent, and superintendent of schools for the Lenape Regional High School District until her retirement in 2012.

Currently, she is interim principal and superintendent of schools for the Rancocas Valley Regional High School District.
